Technology For Entertainment
Technology is used in entertainment to give us easy ways of entertaining ideas and fantasies. Movies, for instance, are representations of the producer's perspective on events, either fictional or fact. We relate to this perspective and find entertainment in the ideas being suggested, and the situations and emotions portrayed. Music and video games share the same kind of interaction, but in different ways.
New technologies, like social networking systems, portable media players/communication devices, and high-definition video, are providing ways for people to immerse themselves in forms of entertainment. You can listen to music and watch video on an iPod anywhere. A mobile phone can make calls, take pictures, and has many other uses. Television and video games give a fantastic view of seemingly realistic events. One day, we might even be able to completely interact with virtual worlds, essentially putting ourselves "into the picture".
Entertainment technology is good for stimulating your imagination and creativity, but hopefully it's not your sole use of technology.
